He is survived by: his children, Ines Raposo (Ricardo) and João Medeiros (Virginia) of New Bedford; his sisters, Idalina Leite Medeiros of Ribeira Quente, Rosa F. Leite Medeiros of Ribeira Quente, São Miguel and Açores; and his grandchildren, Justin Oliveira, Nyel Sousa, Nicolle Medeiros and Jacob Medeiros. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
