We announce the death of Maria I. Teves of New Bedford, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 24, 2026, at the age of 90. Maria will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vitorino Correia of Melo and Maria Rosario Sousa Varão; her spouses, Manuel and Costa Morgado Teves; and her brothers, Bernardino Correia of Melo, José Correia of Melo, Antonio Correia of Melo, Jeremias Correia of Melo, Dionisio Correia of Melo and João Luis Correia of Melo.
She is survived by: her children, Louis Teves of New Bedford, Adrian Teves (Cheryl) of Dartmouth, Antonio Teves (Bella) of Fairhaven and Maria Adelina Amaral (Laudalino) of New Bedford. She is also survived by grandchildren; 7 beloved great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
