She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip Medeiros and Lillian Medeiros (Yates); and her siblings, Donald Medeiros, Linden Medeiros, Phyllis Ramos and Debra DaSilva.
She is survived by: her adoptive daughter Shauna Aponte; and her grandchildren, Cameron Aponte and Elena Aponte.
