He was predeceased by: his father José Amorim Gomes; and his brother José Duarte Amorim. He is survived by: his mother Quiteria Dilara Alves Ribeiro (Castelo) of Viana; his daughters, Saraia A. Amorim (Chad Lague) of Dartmouth, Carolina Alves of Braga and Marissa Amorim; his former wife Susan DaSilva of New Bedford; his siblings, Jorge Amorim of France and Teresa Silva (Paulo) of Viana; and his grandchildren, Camila Lague, Chad Lague, Jr. and Salem Lague. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
