In the sacred silence of farewell, Veronica is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Veronica's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her husband Paul G. McCarthy; her son Gregory P. McCarthy; and her parents, Joseph Sergeant and Wanda Sergeant (Olga). She is survived by: her sister Jacqueline Hobson (Robert) of Fairhaven; her niece Holly Hobson (John Lemieux) of Fairhaven; her nephews, Sean Ouimet of Santiago and Roger Ouimet of Cary; and her friend Jeanne Kelley of Fall River.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 4th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Riverside Cemetery (274 Main St, Fairhaven, MA 02719).
