It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francis Chaisson Jr. of Newburyport, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 31, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Francis Chaisson and Irene Froton-Chaisson; his siblings, Anne Marie Manson (Donald), Pat Fern (Oscar), Irene Crisham (Robert), Leonard Chaisson (Barbara), Suzanne Chaisson-Reed and Gilbert Chaisson; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Pratt-Chaisson (Paul) and Andrea Karston-Chaisson (Lawrence).
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Chaisson; his children, Michael Chaisson (Dina) of Maine, Cheryl Hawkes (Fred) of New Hampshire, Mark Chaisson (Eileen) of Newburyport and David Chaisson (Matthew) of Newburyport; and his siblings, Paul Chaisson, Lawrence Chaisson, Carolyn Shephard (Dave), Catherine Jackson (Scott) and Betty Tilley (Blyn). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice in Arthur's name to celebrate his legacy of service and community.
