We are sad to announce that on April 20, 2024, at the age of 87, Joyce Sowder (Newburyport, Massachusetts) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Timothy Buckley and Nellie "Pink" Buckley (Dow); her siblings, Ralph Buckley, Franklin Hank Buckley, Gloria "Sissy" Minasian, Hazel Joubert, William Buckley, Arthur Buckley and George Buckley; and her sister-in-law Carol Brown Buckley.

She is survived by : her children, Linda Sowder of Seabrook and Charles Sowder, Jr. (Dottie) of Indiana; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Stines and Tammie Thompson; her great grandchild Braylon Thompson; and her siblings, Carolyn Levesque, Rena Arnold, James Buckley (Wilma) and Ruth Hoyle (Bill). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Conte Funeral Home (193 High St, Newburyport, MA 01950).

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Joyce's name to the charity of ones choice.
