He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald A. Heald and Beatrice Heald (DeStefano); and his sister Joan Bodoin (Heald). He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Heald (Gagne); his sons, Derek V. Heald of Cohasset, Courtney Heald (Goff), Ronald R. Heald and Douglas J. Heald (Meghan L. Heald) of Newburyport; his grandchildren, Jack E. Heald, Chloe B. Heald and Dylan J. Heald; and his brother Arthur Heald. He is also survived by the many family members, friends.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (42 Green St, Newburyport, MA 01950).

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ronald D. Heald's memory may be made payable to Tewksbury Memorial High School, c/o Baseball Program, in honor of his lifelong love of the game and his many years spent coaching and mentoring young athletes.
