With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Beatrice Ruth Spiro (Newton, Massachusetts), born in Peabody, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 27, 2026. She was predeceased by: her husband Marc Spiro; her parents, Morris Poverman and Charlotte Poverman of Revere; her stepmother Lena Poverman; and her siblings, Frank Poverman (Flo Poverman) and Toby Dick (George Dick).
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Lurie (late Douglas Lurie), Caren Spiro, Audrey Hoffman (Harvey Hoffman), Glenn Spiro and Lisa Ciampolillo (Timm Ciampolillo); her grandchildren, Devra, Zac Dutton, Cody Lurie-Perret, Robert, Danielle Lurie, Rochelle, David Santos, Janell, Jonathan Swift, Garrett, Jessi Hoffman, Kimberly, Scott Cotreau, Marc Ciampolillo and Michael Ciampolillo; her great grandchildren, Sylvie, Cora Dutton, Phoebe, Louise Lurie, Desmond, Phoenix Santos, Lyla, Emma Swift, Rylee, Sophie Hoffman and Collette Cotreau; and her friend Kelly O'Neill.
