Brian Padilla Obituary

Brian Michael Padilla, son of Natasha Padilla-Goddard and Peter Goddard, husband to Alicia Pampano and brother to Nia and Miles Goddard died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. Brian was born on March 23, 1989 in Orange, NJ to his mother, Natasha. Brian followed along with Natasha as she studied at Bowdoin College and Teacher's College, Columbia University.

Brian was a graduate of Newton North High School (class of 2007) where he played lacrosse. After high school, Brian was a freelance writer who wrote often for Mass Appeal and Complex concentrating in music criticism. Brian earned his BA and Masters Degree at UMASS Boston as he began his career in education. He was loved by his students at Newton Central High School, The Fenn School, and Fayerweather Street School. At the time of his death, Brian was the Dean of Students at the Pike School in Andover, MA.

Brian was amazing. He loved reading and writing and thinking. His book shelves were populated only by certain authors. His recommendations always were a hit. He loved sports and rooting for his teams. His passwords were sprinkled with Boston athletes. Sometimes, depending on how the teams did, Brian would spring for lobster. Other times, when they didn't do so well, Brian would spring for hot dogs.

Brian is survived by his grandparents, Jeanie and Brooks Goddard, his uncles and aunts Shelby Middleton (Denise Middleton), Rodney Middleton, Kirsten and Ed Lahey and countless cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 12PM in the Myrtle Baptist Church, 21 Curve St. West Newton. Visitng hours will be held prior to the service from 10AM-12PM in the Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Brian by donating to the Brian Padilla Scholarship at Newton North High School. (https://ltj5ncabb.cc.rs6.net).
