Claudette Maria Harrison Obituary

Of Newton, Massachusetts died early Tuesday morning September 8, 2020 after a courageous battle with Cancer. She was 70.

Born on June 28, 1950 in Kingston Jamaica, daughter of the late Alva and Mavis (Pinto) Beckford, Ms. Harrison immigrated to the United States in 1978 and resided in Waltham and Newton.

She was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Metropolitan State Hospital for many years as a Mental Health Caretaker. In her spare time, she was a devoted grandmother, an avid Bingo player and had a passion for Foxwoods.

Claudette is survived by her beloved ex-husband Kenneth Harrison, her loving children Donna Harrison of Newton, Rosemarie Amburzely of South Carolina, Donovan Harrison and wife Tracey of Georgia, Sean Harrison and wife Alfreda of Rhode Island, Paul Beckford and wife Gloria of Revere, her siblings Francis Beckford and Juanita of Methuen, Annmarie Beckford of Georgia, Cecile Beckford of Waltham, Jewel Beckford of Newton, Wayne Beckford of Jamaica and her cherished grandchildren Paul, Paula, Daneele, Roanna, Joslyn, Denzel, Rakeem, Chelise, Tanika, Nateisha, Michaela, Joshua, Isiah, Elijah, Azariah, Alantra, Jada, Jazmyn, Tariq, Triston, Tyrese, Tamia and great grandchild Josiah. In addition, she is survived by many nieces and nephews.

For the safety of those we love and care about during this difficult time, and for those who wish to pay their respects to Claudette's family; you can do so in accordance with CDC, Federal and State guidelines in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM, MA., on Wednesday Sept. 16th, from 4pm – 6pm., followed by a Funeral Service Celebrating her Life at 6pm.
