With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Deborah Bern (Newton, Massachusetts), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 18, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rebecca Schwartz and Rabbi Jesse Schwartz; her husband Charles Bern; and her sister Carmel Schwartz. She is survived by: her daughters, Elana Beckman, Judi Townsend and Jessica Bern; her grandchildren, Rachel, Adam, Zachary, Emma and Phoebe; Shiva, Elana and Evan Beckman.
