Doreen leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Doreen’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Doreen will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Louis Isacov and Sonia Baum Isacov; her husband Hyman "Smoky" Smukler; her daughter Robyn Hunter; her son-in-law Greg Hunter; her daughter Tanya Jaffe (Richard Thomas); her grandsons, Sam Hunter (Chris), Alex Jaffe (Krystal) and Max Jaffe (Tess); and her cousin Grace Copelowitz.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Temple Emeth Memorial Park (776 Baker St, West Roxbury, MA 02132).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Doreen's memory to Hadassah, Jewish Senior Life, or the Pine Street Inn.
