He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jewish Hungarian (Viola) and Alex; his wife Josephine (Silbert) of Belmont, MA; and his daughters, Karen (Peter Chemets) of Winchester, MA and Emily of New York City. He was also cherished by four grand-children, and three great-grand children.
His work on cataract disease, Alzheimer's disease, and cholesterol gallstone formation, led him to hypothesize a brand-new paradigm of disease characterized by protein aggregation.
