Slavin (Newton, Massachusetts), born in Brooklyn, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 6, 2025 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude and English; his grandparents, Freethinker' and Lubuvitch Rabbi Moshe Slavkin; and his brother Dr. Stuart Slavin of Harrisburg, PA..
He is survived by: his family Jackie Robinson; his significant other Miki Rahmani; his daughters, Jessica and Claudia; his granddaughter Jessica Slavin Connelly; his great grandchild Owen; his granddaughter Claudia Schwartz (Rob Schwartz); his great grandchildren, Theodore "Teddy" and Evan; his sister Vicki; his brother-in-law David Itzkowitz; his niece Miriam Itzkowitz; his nephew Dan Itzkowitz (Alex Lapides); his great-nephew Sam of St. Paul, MN; his great-niece Penelope of St. Paul, MN; his sister-in-law Robin Slavin of Lake Worth, FL; his niece Beth Manicone (George Manicone); his great-nephew Axel of Millburn, NJ; his nephew Glenn Slavin (Allison Kessler Slavin); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Zoe, Zach and Casey of Maplewood, NJ; Lili. He is also survived by grandsons, and with his adored nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
