With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Josephine Poppleton of Newton, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 24, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcellin Aucoin and Elizabeth Aucoin (Chiasson); and her siblings, Bernie Aucoin, Sam Aucoin, Daniel Aucoin, Joan Burns and Marie Luce Phillips.
She is survived by: her daughter Cecelia Kwartler; her son-in-law Bruce; her grandsons, David and Timothy; her siblings, Joseph Aucoin, Simon Aucoin (Nancy), Gerard Aucoin (Karen), Marie Sophie Shomphe (Seward), Therese Doucet (Brian), Marguerite Cormier (Gilles), Paulette Shaw (Victor), Cecile Boisvert (Daniel) and Bernadette Leblanc (Eugene); and her godson Brian Burns. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
