We bid farewell to Lily M. Lyons of Newton, Massachusetts, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 3, 2025 at the age of 87. Lily touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Rosenbauer and Mary Rosenbauer (Connelly); and her siblings, Kathleen, Donna, Mary, Mark and Gina Waters.
She is survived by: her husband Michael J. Lyons of Newton; her children, Mary "Mimi" Lyons-Hunter of Newton, Michael Lyons (Heather) of Newton, Tina Cerrito (Chris) of Westport, CT, Jennifer Foundas (John) of Natick and Pete Lyons (Ann) of Needham; her grandchildren, Alixandra (Hunter), Michael, Leah (Lyons), Matthew, Nicole, Andrew (Cerrito), William, Amelia, Patrick (Foundas), Caroline, Hannah and Sarah (Lyons); and her sister Rita Hauser of San Diego, CA.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lehman Reen McNamara Funeral Home (63 Chestnut Hill Ave, Brighton, MA 02135). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lehman, Reen & McNamara Funeral Home (63 Chestnut Hill Ave, Brighton, MA 02135). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Columbkille Church (321 Market St, Brighton, MA 02135).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lily's memory to the Pan Mass Challenge, Boston Children's Hospital, or Good Shepherd Hospice.
