“To the lopin family, i am a snowbird, as was michael, and his bridge partner on friday afternoons last winter. I believe michael played just about every day, with a number of partners. He was a fine player and generously tolerant of my flawed play. I tried calling michael upon my arrival here on november 12 and left messages. Now i realize that my attempts were ill-timed, to say the least. Michael's passing is a shocker. I offer my sincere condolences. Respectfully, wayne weaver canada”
