He was loved and cherished by many people including: his significant other Debbie; his children, Rachel and Jason; his grandchildren, Griffin and Gemma; his son-in-law Neil; his sibling Laurel Kaplan; his brother-in-law Dr. Robert Kaplan; his sibling's children, Julie, Lindsey and Nikki; and his siblings-in-law, Kenneth Hyman and Linda Hyman.

Donations in Rick's honor may be made to Tufts Dental, an organization that had such an instrumental role in his life.
