He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas McSweeney of Belfast and Eileen McSweeney; and his brothers, Tom McSweeney and Daniel McSweeney. He is survived by: his wife Joan McSweeney of Newton, Massachusetts; his son Michael McSweeney (Lynette); his grandchildren, Michael, Patrick and Addyson McSweeney of Waltham, Massachusetts; his daughter Lauren McSweeney of Waltham, Massachusetts.; and his caregiver Dr. Alireza Vaziri.
