He is survived by: his wife Winifred McCarthy (Sweeney); his children, Kathleen McCarthy, Dennis McCarthy (Sandy), Patricia Behan (Ken), Bernard McCarthy and Maureen Pallotta (Richard); his grandchildren, Tom, Kate, Pat, Jen, Tim, Colleen, Megan, Nicholas and Genevieve; and his siblings, Mary, Shiela and Kathleen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home (1479 Washington St, West Newton, MA 02465). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at the Newton Cemetery (791 Walnut St, Newton, MA 02459).
