She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Oakes Fournier (Dowdy) and George Raymond Oakes. She is survived by: her husband Carlton A. Hewitt Sr.; her children, Brenda Vallone (Paul) of Clarksburg, Carlton A. Hewitt Jr. (Peggy) of Forest, VA and Kevin Hewitt of Clarksburg; her grandchildren, Amanda, Brandon Vallone, Nicholas and Ashley Hewitt; her siblings, Helen Perry, Charles, Raymond, Chester and George Oakes; and her half-sister Philomene Belair. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home For Funerals- West Chapel (521 W Main St, North Adams, MA 01247). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations are suggested for the Clarksburg Volunteer Fire Company or HospiceCare in The Berkshires through the funeral home.
