He was predeceased by : his parents, Gerald Goodell and Delores Goodell (Kienzle); and his siblings, Stephen, Richard and Kathleen O'Dell.

He is survived by : his wife Donna (Flagg); his sons, Keith Goodell (Barbara) of San Antonio and Daniel, Jr. Goodell (Kimberly) of Clarksburg; his siblings, Wayne, Douglas Goodell (Andrea) of North Adams and Judith Girard of North Adams; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Jessica, Stephen, Cameron, Sydney, Gavin, Gebryela and Geryn; and his great grandchildren, Madyson, Alyssa, Matthew, Bionca, Kegan, Bennett, Willow, Eliza and Benjamin.
