He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Clarence Brooks and Sybil Brooks DeGray (Mahar); and his brother Richard Alan "Brooksy" Brooks. He is survived by: his significant other Debra Grant; his children, Mark Brooks of Pittsfield and Shannon Brooks of North Adams; his grandchildren, Kyle Brooks, Izaiah Brooks and Amyah Safford; his siblings, Kenneth Brooks of North Adams, Debra Righi (James) of Stamford, VT. and Denise Dion (Robert) of Readsboro, Vt.; and his former wife Sandra Brooks. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
