He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Briggs and Eva Briggs; his siblings, Nelson "Sonny" Briggs Jr. and Beverly Briggs Gibeau; and his daughter Francine Briggs.
He is survived by: his sister Donna Briggs Lonie; and his children, Rhonda Briggs Transgrud (Dean), Andy Briggs (Jennifer Briggs Ering), Phineas (Sawyer) and Rebecca Briggs Renaud. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and countless friends.
