It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Delano Dodds (North Adams, Massachusetts), who passed away on March 25, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Richard shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Richard farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Barnes Dodds and Lois Ada Delano. He is survived by: his close friend Meg Dodds; his sons, Richard Delano Dodds, Jr. of Needham, MA and Matthew Nesbit Dodds of Williston, VT; and his brother Robert Weeks Dodds of Plattsburgh, NY. He is also survived by five grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews.
Memorial donations are suggested for the Town of Williamstown and mailed to 31 North St. Williamstown, MA 01267, with Dick's name and Scholarship Fund in the Memo Line.
