He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter G. Nelson and Astrid Nelson (Almquist); and his brother Carl W. Nelson. He is survived by: his daughter Katharine A. N. Ryan (Kevin) of West Peabody; and his granddaughter Joelle M. Ryan of West Peabody.
