He was predeceased by: his father Francis Day. He is survived by: his wife Cathleen Day (Tellier); his siblings, Philip Day (Jan Peterson) and Ellen Rawlings (Peter); his daughters, Christine Bowie (Paul), Pamela Eberhardt-Ladd (Seth), Kimberly Day (William Campbell) and Elizabeth Day; and his grandchildren, Bridget and Fiona Eberhardt-Ladd.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his memory to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
