He was predeceased by: his parents, Roderic Martens and Ethel Martens; and his brother Roderic Martens Jr. (Ric). He is survived by: his sister Jane of San Antonio; and his former wife Margot Roberts.

The family has requested that any charitable donations in Paul's memory be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
