With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Florence (Morro) Rapoza of North Dartmouth, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 15, 2025 at the age of 106. She was predeceased by: her husband Manuel C. Rapoza Jr.; her parents, Joseph Morro and Mary Morro (Silveira); and her siblings, Joseph, Antone, John, Alfred, Manuel, Frank Morro, Mary Joaquim and Rose Catabia.
She is survived by: her daughters, Esther Scott (Andrew) of Warren and Kathleen Shannon (late Husband James) of Dartmouth; her grandchildren, Gail Medeiros, Cheryl Mello (Doug), Christopher Shannon (Bess) and Jessica Smith (Richard); and her great grandchildren, Victoria Falco (Robert), Abigail Smith, Nonny, Noah Shannon and Ira Libby. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home (1521 N Main St, Fall River, MA 02720). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Michael's Church (189 Essex St, Fall River, MA 02720). A burial will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:10 AM at the St. Patrick's Cemetery - Somerset.
