It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Therese D. Ashton of North Dartmouth, Massachusetts, born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, who passed away on July 18, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Charles Ashton, III; her parents, Raymond Fortin and Jeanne Fortin (Langlois); her son Raymond C. Ashton; her grandson Aaron Veronneau; and her sister Irene Williams.

She is survived by : her daughter Cheryl Ashton-Simao (Steven Simao) of Somerset; her grandchildren, Tyler Simao of Somerset, Skylar and Joshua Ashton of Lakeville; and her siblings, Jean Fortin (Marcia) of Arkansas, David Fortin of New Bedford, Louis Fortin (Mary) of Fairhaven and Marie Martel of Dedham. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
