Margaret P. Pacheco Obituary

NORTH DIGHTON-Margaret P. Pacheco, 86, passed away on August 17, 2026 after a long battle with illness. She was the loving wife of the late Alfred Pacheco, Jr., with whom she shared 63 years of marriage.

Margaret was born in Fall River and was the daughter of the late Albert V.W. Wetterland and Margaret (LeClair) Wetterland.

Margaret attended Mount Saint Mary's Academy in Fall River and was a longtime resident of North Dighton. She was employed at Princess House in Dighton for many years until her retirement. Margaret worked hard and was a devoted wife and mother. Together, they raised many animals over the years, including German Shepherds. She was a longtime and faithful communicant of St. Nicholas of Myra Church in North Dighton. Margaret was also an avid seamstress and enjoyed bowling with the Taunton Ten Pin League and later in life she developed a fondness for NASCAR.

She is survived by her loving dog and companion Patches; children, Kirk Pacheco of North Dighton and Karen Pacheco of Swansea; grandchildren, Lynn and Chad Moody and Douglas and Chelsea Pacheco; great granddaughter, Alexis Kleinschmidt and many nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Kevin and Keith Pacheco and sister of the late Joan Bolger, Willard Wetterland and Edward Wetterland.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Monday, August 24, 2026 from 8:30-10:30am in the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset.

Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am in St. Nicholas of Myra Church 499 Spring St., North Dighton.

Burial will follow in the St. Patrick's Cemetery, Somerset.
