He was predeceased by: his wife F. Marianne Whitney (Smith Leonard); and his parents, Winthrop B. Whitney and Ruth Whitney (Stowell). He is survived by: his children, Mark S. Whitney (Robbie) of Springvale and Linda B. Ledoux (late Steven D. Ledoux) of North Waterboro; his grandchildren, Melissa Doiron (Travis) of Berwick, Robyn Trott (Chuck) of Sanford, Christopher Whitney of Alton Bay, Rachel DesJardins of Sanford, Kerri DesJardins of Westbrook, Samantha DesJardins of Saco, Heather Potwin (David) of Singapore and Kristen Leonard of Sterling, Mass.; and his great grandchildren, Izabella, Alex, Jacob, Dylan, Cameron, Jocelyn, Madeline, Jack, Lydia, Lily, Henry, Zoe and Eve. He is also survived by his loving family and many friends.
