He was predeceased by : his mother Joyce Ann Bashew (Mozgai). He is survived by : his father Charles William Bashew; his children, Edward William Bashew and Colleen LaVerne Bashew; his sisters, Lynn Bashew and Joyce Rosenberg (Milton); and his godmother Laverne "Cookie" Simonelli. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and close friends.
