He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Eugene Tremaine, Jr. and Evelyn Maribah Tremaine (Ely). He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth; and his nieces and nephews, Timothy Hiebert, John Hiebert, Sarah [Hiebert] Flowers, Kirsti [Hiebert] Morse and Amy [Hiebert] Murphy. He is also survived by his six grandnephews and one grandniece.
In the summer of 2018, he was awarded a "Certificate of Recognition and Lifelong Membership" for his contributions to the Leisure World of Maryland community sports.
