As we bid Irene farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Irene is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She is survived by: her husband Colonel William C. Jeas; her son Dean Jeas (Christine) of Laconia; her granddaughter Katherine Sullivan (Dan); her great grandchild Natalie Sullivan of Rochester; and her siblings, George Merkle of St Louis and Katherine Lambros (Merkle) of Marquette. She is also survived by four nieces, and three nephews.
