She was predeceased by : her husband James E. O'Brien; her parents, Louis and Grace; and her sister Louise Chace (Belval). She is survived by : her children, Mary Ann O'Brien-Gilmore (Robert A. Gilmore) of Milford, Joseph O'Brien (Jan) and Brien of Sturbridge; and her grandchildren, Conor, Chloe O'Brien, Robert E. and Molly Gilmore. She is also survived by her grandparents, seven sets of aunts and uncles, and many of her 28 cousins.

Donations in Carol's memory may be made to the Whitinsville Social Library at 17 Church Street, or the Whitin Community Center at 60 Main Street, both located in Whitinsville, MA 01588.
