He was predeceased by: his father William L. Bishop; and his parents-in-law, Willis and Polly Peaden of Havelock. He is survived by: his wife Velma "Vel" Bishop (Peaden); his mother Paula R. Bishop (Yelle) of Wrentham; his children, Joshua D. Bishop of Norton, Brittany R. Coulter of Norton and Casey L. Shaw (JD) of South Carolina; his grandchildren, Ryder, Cali, Logan, Harper, Lucas and Codi; his siblings, David A. Bishop of Norton, Steven P. Bishop (Traci O'Connor) of Norton and Linda G. Johansson (Bruce) of New Hampshire; and his brother-in-law Kevin Peaden of North Carolina. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Due to the limitation of flowers allowed at the National Cemetery, Dale's family has requested that contributions be made to the Kyle Bishop Memorial Fund, 33 Goldenwood Drive, Norton, MA 02766, a charity so dear to Dale's heart.
