He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel McLaughlin and Ruth McLaughlin (Arris); and his sisters, Dottie McLaughlin and Mary McLaughlin. He is survived by: his wife Carol McLaughlin (Mullins); his children, Daniel Patrick McLaughlin (Joyce) of Lowell, Devon Eileen Sicard (Stephen) of Wrentham and Cailin Ruth Cameron (Brian) of North Attleboro; and his grandchildren, Barrett McLaughlin, Jonathan Sicard (Danielle), Zachary Sicard, Archer Cameron and Rory Cameron.

Visiting hours are omitted and those wishing, may remember "Big Dan" with a contribution in his memory made to the Norton Fire Department, 70 East main Street, Norton, MA 02766.
