She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Cusack and Amy Cusack of Dedham. She is survived by: her children, Kimberly of Norwood, Stephen of Canaan, NH and Joe (Meaghan) of Norwood; her granddaughter Maggie; her former husband Glenn Birkett (Kevin Bastow) of Brandon, VT; and her siblings, Michael (Rhonda) of Mission Viejo, CA, Jay (Maureen) of Ponce Inlet, FL, Christine Cummings (John), Eileen Wagner (Jack), Mary Ellen McDonough (Brian) and Leslie Cusack of Dedham. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and countless cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Karen's memory to the American Lung Association, 1661 Worcester Rd., #301, Framingham, MA 01701, lung.org.
