The memory of Maria C. (Teixeira) Fernandes of Norton, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 23, 2026 at the age of 74, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. In the sacred silence of farewell, Maria is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Maria's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her husband Joao "John" Fernandes; and her parents, Augusto Teixeira and Maria Teixeira (Oliveira). She is survived by: her sons, David J. Fernandes of Norton, Daniel M. Fernandes (Amanda) of Easton and John C. Fernandes (Lauren Kobs) of Easton; and her grandchildren, Jesse Fernandes, Avery Fernandes, Nolan Fernandes and Liliana Fernandes.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Timothy Plain Cemetery.
Visiting hours are omitted and in lieu of flowers, Maria's family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1120, Framingham, MA 01701.
