Mary "Barbara" Rohrick, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 23, 2025, at the age of 91. She will be remembered for her quick wit, sense of humor, and unconditional love for her family.

Born on March 2, 1934, in Boston, MA, Barbara was one of ten children of James and Elvira Horton. She went on to have five children, fourteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom were touched by her many talents and boundless love. Barbara poured her heart into baking, cooking, party planning, and crafting, creating cherished memories for her family. She lovingly sewed holiday outfits for her children, baked cakes for school events, and brought the magic of Christmas to life each year.

Her festive spirit truly blossomed with the arrival of her grandchildren, who looked forward to the annual Christmas party complete with bingo, Santa, and Nana's famous Christmas village display. Barbara's commitment to creating joy extended far beyond the holidays, her warmth and creativity were ever-present in her family's lives.

Barbara worked at Brighton Marine Medical Center for over 30 years as a medical assistant, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Even after retirement, she remained a beloved member of the medical community. In her personal time, Barbara enjoyed reading, cheering on the Red Sox, playing cards and bingo, and relaxing with her beloved dog Winnie.

She was predeceased by her life partner, James Sullivan; her parents, James and Elvira Horton; several siblings James, Martin, John, Martha, Nanette, Joan, Theresa, and Rita; and her grandson, Craig Daly. She is survived by her brother Richard Horton; and her loving children: Deborah Meloni of Quincy, MA, Charlotte Daly of Braintree, MA; Rick Rohrick of Norton, MA; Barbara and Steve Hynes of Norton, MA; and Beth Rohrick and Tom Boughter of Mansfield, MA.

Barbara was a proud and devoted grandmother to Jessica Rohrick, Joey Meloni, Ryan, Cobi, Bobbi, Craig, Paul and Brooke Daly, Chris and James Reilly, Jacquelyn and Chris Copeland, Stevie, and John Paul Hynes, Chris, Ami, and Erika Boughter. She was lovingly known as "Nana #1" to her great-grandchildren: Dylan, Graham, Rylee, Kennedy, Victoria, Phallon, Craig, and Camille. Her many nieces, nephews, and friends will remember her with deep affection.

Barbara's legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, July 27th from 3:00-6:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home., 19 Clapp Street (Off Route 140, Taunton Avenue) Norton.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 28th at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Mary's Church, 1 Power Street in Norton. Burial will follow at the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton.

In lieu of flowers, Barbara's family would prefer that donations in her memory be made to ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
