He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph C., Jr. and Alma L. Thompson (MacKenzie). He is survived by: his wife Carol S. Thompson (Hurwitch); his children, Michael E. Thompson (Cheryl) of Orlando and Jennifer E. Shaw (Brendon) of Somerset; and his grandchildren, Tyler Thompson, Calla Thompson and Madison Shaw.
