He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. O'Brien and Elizabeth R. O'Brien (Rivers); his son Steven A. O'Brien; and his siblings, William O'Brien (Annette O'Brien) of Holbrook, Robert O'Brien, Ronald O'Brien, Alan O'Brien (Janice O'Brien) of Pelham, NH and Cheryl O'Brien.

He is survived by: his wife JoAnne O'Brien (Lovejoy); his child Lauren A. Ares of Norton; his grandsons, Patrick Ares of Norton and Daniel Ares of Norton; his brother Kenneth O'Brien (Barbara) of Milton; his close friend Tom (Anne); his friend Dottie (late Dick); Pamela Yeadon (Barry), Linda Clifford (Patty), Kevin Clifford (Brenda), Mark Clifford (Christine), Paul Clifford (Anna), Robert DiGloria (Ginny) and Dennis DiGloria (Diane). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, his cherished Godchildren.
