With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita M. (Desmarais) Johnson of Norton, Massachusetts, born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, who passed away on August 8, 2022 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her husband Alfred S. Johnson, Jr.; her parents, Adelard Desmarais and Annette Desmarais (Lemieux); her son Alfred S. Johnson, III (Cheryl) of Smithfield; and her granddaughter Stacy Johnson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Charlene C. Fletcher (Jeff) of Portsmouth and Judy A. Burgess (Bill) of Norton; and her siblings, Claire Remy of Mansfield, Del Desmarais (Marilyn) of Glen and Raymond Desmarais (Joyce) of Albany. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, as well as her loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Rita's family would prefer that donations in her memory to be made to the Christopher Heights Activity Fund, 45 South Main Street, Attleboro, MA 02703.
