He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Kirrane and Shirley G. Kirrane (Jennings). He is survived by: his wife Nancy L. Kirrane (Cohan); his children, Matthew Kirrane, Sr. (Melissa) of Norton, Jennifer Carter (Dewey) of Norton, Maura Lachance (Chris) of Norton and Ryan Kirrane (Justine Miller) of North Attleboro; his grandchildren, Matthew, Jr., William, Hailey, Chloe, Molly, Keegan and Kenzie; his brother William Kirrane (Jeanne) of California; and his sister-in-law Cheryl Rogers (Thomas) of Acton. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Robert's family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the Kraft Family Blood Donor Center at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.
