It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley E. Spencer of Norton, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 28, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Elwood W. "Bud" Spencer; her parents, Clinton Woodward and Helen Lehouillier (Spencer); her sons, Michael P. Spencer, Donald L. Spencer and Steven E. Spencer; and her parents-in-law, Ernest "Win" and Gladys Benton.
She is survived by: her children, Bruce W. Spencer (late Nadine Spencer) of Norton, Marita L. Spencer-Metivier (William E. Metivier, III) of Blackstone and Darrell G. Spencer of Norton; her child-in-law Mary-Jo Spencer Crowley of Taunton; her grandchildren, Troy Spencer (Amanda) of Foxboro, Taylor Brodeur (Adam) of Foxboro, Ty Spencer (Lynnea) of Bellingham, Trace Spencer of Norton and Joseph Spencer of Taunton; her great grandchildren, Noah, Lucas, Sophie and Darcy; and her sisters, Marilyn Hebert (late Edward Hebert) of Taunton and Carolyn "Jean" Lincoln of Lady Lake. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, Shirley's family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Activities Account at the Daggett-Crandall-Newcomb Home, 55 Newland Street, Norton, MA 02766.
