Rita Joan Gerwig Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Rita Joan Gerwig of Norwell, Massachusetts. Rita, born on November 28, 1929, passed away on July 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Paul Gerwig; her brothers, William Lojewski and Richard Lojewski; and her nephew Michael Lojewski. She is survived by: her children, Melanie (Danny Griffin), Susan (Mark Hambly) and Scott (Stacie Gerwig); her sister Barbara Lojewski; her grandchildren, Robert Griffin, Danielle Griffin Birkenfeld (Ben Birkenfeld), Corey Hambly, Clancy Gerwig and Mason Gerwig; her great grandchild Ellie Birkenfeld; her niece Marci Lojewski; and her nephew Billy Lojewski.
