She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Genereux and Muriel Richardson (Carlezon); her stepfather Joseph Richardson; and her brothers, Eugene and Wesley Genereux.

She is survived by: her husband Brian McCarthy of Norwood; her daughters, Pamela McCarthy of Mashpee and Judith Toomey (Brian) of East Bridgewater; her grandchildren, Amelia and Shane Toomey; and her siblings, Gail Grahn of Pembroke, Linda Jayne Richardson of Jacksonville, Florida and Everett Genereux of Hubbardston, Michigan.
