He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis J. Murphy and Dorothy A. Murphy (McDavitt); and his brother Dennis J. Murphy Jr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Michael J. Murphy of Norwood, Sheila M. Easter of Norwood, Denise E. Allan of Middleboro, Deborah A. Pellegrine of Amesbury, Mark V. Murphy, Daniel T. Murphy, Maureen E. Martinho, Diane F. Murphy and Kathleen M. Grogan. He is also survived by his dog "Boo" and many nieces and nephews.
